This is the third music video I created during the pandemic: “The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress,” written by Jimmy Webb.

Having recorded “Georgia on My Mind” with me, my friend Luther Schutz asked if we might record this song as well.

Although set to the same tempo as the well-known version by Glen Campbell, my arrangement has a very different feel due to an intentionally spare guitar track, in contrast to the very ornate piano and orchestra arrangement in Campbell’s version. I recorded the guitar track in my home in Duvall, Washington. We then recorded the vocal track in Luther’s home in Mount Vernon, Washington, an hour to the north.
